New oak village story

Carol Davis has been a dedicated Administrator since 1999 in Skilled Nursing Facilities. In 1980 she started off as a nurse on the hall then moved into the unit supervisor position. She decided that she wanted to be an administrator to make an impacted in the building not only for the Residents but for the employees. She has earned the respect of many throughout her years working in Long Term Care and made many friends along the way. Anywhere you go in the Knox County and surrounding area and say Carol’s name, you get the same response of “She is one of the best administrators around.”

When talking with Carol about why she enjoys her job in Long Term Care, she states “I love Geriatrics. This is us tomorrow and this population have a lot to share with us.” She smiles when she talks about her job and how she feels that she can make a difference in the life of the Residents that are trusted to her care. Carol said “They still have a life to live and I want to make that life the best that I can for them.”  When asked if she would change her path in anyway, Carol stated “I would do it all over again. I love what I do and I cherish every moment that I have with the Residents.”

Many days you will find Carol serving in the dining room to just sitting and visiting with the Residents. She knows the staff and the residents not just on a professional level but also on a personal level. We want to say Happy Administrators Week to Carol and Thank you for caring.
